Why Does My Husband Yell at Me?
John Smith
The first thing you have to remember is that most likely, verbal abuse isn’t your fault. Sometimes men do things that they don’t understand sometimes and even go back and wonder why they did what they did. I am a man and I will be the first to stand up and say that I have acted before thinking things out first. Everyone does it, including women.
Men subject women to verbal abuse for various reasons. It could be that they think that is the only way they can get their point across. Another reason could be that it was the way they were raised. The most prominent of reasons are the dominance of what a yell means. What I am trying to say is that a yell puts fear into the person on the receiving end. A man always wants to be the man. He wants to wear the pants, not the dress. So if he has to yell to wear the pants then so be it.
Sometimes a man will yell just because he has a bad day at work or he is stressed out about money or something to that effect. Women are not the only people that are allowed to be stressed and, in fact, men like to be consoled also when we are in a bad mood.
In conclusion, a man can yell at you for various reasons from having a bad day on the job to just being irritable about his favorite sports team losing. Men have emotions just like everyone else but some of us just wear them differently than others. But one thing is the same. We all get angry at one point and we are all going to need someone to help console us or calm us down. The hard part isn’t being yelled at but walking away and not doing anything.
